YOUR PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

Effective August 28, 2026

PocketGap is designed to help you practice your timing without requiring an account. This policy explains what information is handled when you use the app, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.

Information stored on your device

PocketGap saves your practice settings, accessibility preference, and session history in your browser using local storage and IndexedDB. Session history may include the date and time of a session, duration, completed cycles, tempo, time signature, sound and silent bar counts, and subdivision.

This practice data stays on your device and is not sent to PocketGap servers. You can remove session history from the History or Settings screens. You can also remove all locally stored data through your browser settings.

Advertising and Google AdSense

PocketGap uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, online identifiers, IP addresses, browser or device information, and interactions with ads to deliver, measure, personalize, and protect advertising, subject to your region and privacy choices.

Learn more about how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services in Google’s partner sites notice and Privacy Policy. You can manage ad personalization in My Ad Center.

Usage analytics

If you accept analytics, PocketGap uses Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits and how practice features are used. Events may include starting, pausing, resuming, or completing a practice session; session duration and completed cycle count; and the selected tempo, time signature, subdivision, sound bars, silent bars, and accent setting.

PocketGap does not send your locally saved practice-history records, session IDs, or practice timestamps to Google Analytics. The Google tag initially loads with analytics storage denied and measurement inactive so the installation can be detected. Loading the tag may expose standard network information, such as an IP address and browser details, to Google, but PocketGap does not configure GA4 or send practice-usage events unless you accept analytics. Google handles accepted analytics data under its Privacy Policy. You can change your choice using Analytics settings in the footer.

Technical information

When you visit PocketGap, the hosting and security services that deliver the app may automatically process standard request information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, requested page, date and time, and diagnostic or security data. This information is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

PocketGap’s service worker may cache app files on your device so the metronome can load more reliably or work offline. These cached files do not contain your practice history.

How information is used and shared

Information is handled only as needed to provide app features, remember your choices, deliver and measure advertising, maintain reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. PocketGap does not sell your locally stored practice history. Information may be processed by service providers such as the hosting provider and Google, or disclosed when required by law.

Your choices

  • Clear individual sessions or all practice history inside PocketGap.
  • Clear site data, cookies, and cached files through your browser.
  • Accept, decline, or revisit usage analytics using Analytics settings.
  • Block or limit cookies using your browser or device controls.
  • Manage Google ad personalization through My Ad Center.

Blocking storage may prevent settings, history, offline use, or advertisements from working as expected.

Children’s privacy

PocketGap is not directed to children under 13, and PocketGap does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, please contact the site owner so it can be reviewed and addressed.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when PocketGap’s features, service providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page will identify the latest version.
